13 For I am the Lord your God
who takes hold of your right hand
and says to you, Do not fear;
I will help you.
This verse has been the launching point for us each day this week and is a favorite verse for many. It’s a great passage to memorize and hold on to for growth and assurance.
In this passage...
- God declares, “I am the Lord your God.”
- God responds and takes hold of my hand.
- God reassures, “Do not fear, I will help you.”
Imagery of God’s faithfulness in physical actions helps me to remember God’s faithfulness in spiritual actions.
Does the thought of God taking hold of your hand help you more fully comprehend God’s constant presence with you?
How could you incorporate this verse into your practices for spiritual growth?
Lord God, help me notice your presence and accept your help as you continually take hold of my hand. Then, use me, Lord, to bless the world and glorify you throughout this day. Amen.
